Sacred Heart has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Salem Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Salem took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sacred Heart, who comes in off a win.
Sacred Heart posted their biggest win since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 52-27 margin over Enterprise.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sacred Heart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gamber Jackson, who scored nine points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Raider Williams, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Salem, who are still winless after their 16th match. They took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lumberton on Monday.
Sacred Heart's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Salem, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-16.
Everything came up roses for Sacred Heart against Salem in their previous matchup on January 9th as the squad secured a 65-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sacred Heart since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
