The West Forsyth Titans can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 46-37 victory over Parkland. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Forsyth also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
West Forsyth was led to victory by Emma Staples and Alexis Waters. Staples scored 16 points along with two steals, while Waters dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isabel Gil, who scored four points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Parkland still got an impressive performance from Jordan Fisher, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Fisher hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Justace Williams was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
West Forsyth's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Parkland, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
West Forsyth on the road again on Tuesday and play against Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Glenn will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 508th, while West Forsyth is ranked 249th). As for Parkland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against R.J. Reynolds at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. R.J. Reynolds will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
