There's no place like home for the Ocala Christian Crusaders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They strolled past Cedar Key with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 47-31. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Ocala Christian has managed all season.
Ocala Christian found their leader in underclassman Rodney Paz, who scored 18 points. Conrad Bloom was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Ocala Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Cedar Key, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Ocala Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Real Life Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Real Life Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Ocala Christian likes a good challenge. Cedar Key will be home for the holidays to greet Branford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
