Provo had won three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 16-8 to make it four. They never let the Ogden Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Gehrig Orchard made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Orchard was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Dawson Moore was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Milo Rhineer was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
As for Ogden, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-19. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but Provo's pitchers proved too tough.
On Ogden's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rodrigo Torres, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Provo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ogden, they will welcome Richfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
