Masuk took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Warde Mustangs a 6-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won 29 matches in a row dating back to last season.
Julia Bacoulis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. Bacoulis was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024.
