For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Tombstone and Bisbee meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Yellow Jackets blew past the Pumas 15-4. The result was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Kyla Gross made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Gross was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
