There's no place like home for the Valley View Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 73-61 victory over Hemet on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Valley View found their leader in underclassman Charles Knight, who scored 36 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Knight has scored at least a third of Valley View's points. Maurice Lynch was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Valley View has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Hemet, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-6.
Valley View will head out on the road to take on Hemet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hemet, they will look to defend their home court against Valley View at 6:00 p.m. Valley View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Hemet likes a good challenge.
