On the hitting side, Kyle Beaty was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Burkhart, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Normal Community was able to grind out a solid win over Rock Island in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 4-1.
