Warner Robins's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Howard Huskies 37-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Demons needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
A big part of Warner Robins' win came down to the chemistry between Joselyn Cassanova and her top target Navia Smith. Cassanova rushed for 24 yards and three touchdowns while Smith rushed for 120 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries. Smith's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Warner Robins' defense and their eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Cristiona King and Kassidy Bradley, who racked up six sacks between them. Warner Robins got some further help from Raven Munford: she picked up a sack and made ten total tackles.
The victory got Warner Robins back to even at 1-1.
Coincidentally, Warner Robins and Howard will both be playing Perry the next time they take the field. The Huskies will head out to face the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Demons will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
