Stanford/Geyser was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Northern 6-Man (6 Man). Earlier in the week, the Wolverines triumphed over North Star 67-13.
Geraldine/Highwood extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Augusta, 36-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Rivals.
Augusta's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Elks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyler Hantz has thrown for 1698 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while Garrett Krone has 42 catches for 815 yards. Krone leads the league in rushing with 899 yards.
The marquee game in Northern 6-Man (6 Man) this week will be the clash between Geraldine/Highwood and Big Sandy. The Rivals enters the game ranked ninth in the state, while the Pioneers ranks 14th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Geraldine/Highwood takes on Big Sandy. The Rivals have allowed 142 points this season, while Greg King's team has given up 176. Geraldine/Highwood allowed 6 points last week as it defeated the Elks.
Augusta suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after falling to the Rivals. Caleb Ford's team had been ranked 25th, but fell to 26.
