After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pleasant, the Northmor Golden Knights were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Centerburg by a score of 55-47. That's another feather in the cap for Northmor, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Northmor had a senior duo take command as Grant Bentley scored 24 points and Drew Hammond dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. The game was Bentley's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Keirns, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Northmor now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Centerburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Northmor will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Gilead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centerburg will be home for the holidays to greet Danville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Danville is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
