The Davidson Academy Bears lost against the Ezell-Harding Christian Eagles on January 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Davidson Academy was beaten by Ezell-Harding Christian 65-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Davidson Academy has scored all season.
Blake Dean was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points for Ezell-Harding Christian. Dean has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zay Bridges, who scored 13 points.
Davidson Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davidson Academy will square off against Clarksville Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Clarksville Academy's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Davidson Academy has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, Ezell-Harding Christian and Friendship Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Friendship Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
