Oliver Springs will be up against a hot Central Magnet squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Central Magnet never let Oneida get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for Central Magnet, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Braylon Dowell made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joseph Rowell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of John Roth, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Central Magnet hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive matchups.
