The Seton Catholic Central Knights's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Chazy Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th. Hopefully Seton Catholic Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday.
Seton Catholic Central managed to keep up with Northern Adirondack until halftime, but things quickly went downhill from there. Seton Catholic Central might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Northern Adirondack an easy 66-40 win. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Seton Catholic Central in their matchups with Northern Adirondack: they've now lost seven in a row.
Seton Catholic Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aiden Pearl, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 19 rebounds, and Sam DeJordy who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Pearl is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Chazy was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Willsboro Central 61-32 at home. The victory was just what Chazy needed coming off of a 62-32 loss in their prior game.
Seton Catholic Central's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Chazy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Seton Catholic Central was able to grind out a solid win over Chazy in their previous matchup back in February, winning 54-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seton Catholic Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
