Snowflake has gone a perfect 7-0 against Alchesay recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lobos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 2:30 p.m. Snowflake knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Alchesay likes a good challenge.
Snowflake took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Blue Ridge 11-1. Considering the Lobos have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kashlynn Cantrell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Graycee Skousen, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kloe Burden, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Snowflake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Alchesay's offense. They came up short against Holbrook on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Roadrunners recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Snowflake's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Alchesay, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
Snowflake took their win against Alchesay in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
