Having just played yesterday, the Chilton County Tigers will jump right back in to play the Moody Blue Devils at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Hopefully Chilton County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
On Thursday, Chilton County strolled past John Carroll Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 60-43.
Chilton County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Iasia Anderson, who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 assists. Anderson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ishunti Brown, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Moody's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Springville.
Chilton County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Moody, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1.
