Cornerstone Christian put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Coosa Valley Academy Rebels as they made off with a 10-4 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chargers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Kenlie Williams made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season.
In other pitching news, Addilyn Boyles looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Taylor Brownlee and Makayla Allen did most of the damage at the plate: Brownlee went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and two runs, while Allen scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Allen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Bailey, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
