There's no place like home for the Riverside Ram, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Lightridge on Friday as Riverside made off with a 72-50 win. Given Riverside's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Bolts are ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Max Lawson, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Brady Peterson, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Riverside has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Lightridge, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-15.
Riverside will be playing at home against the at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lightridge, they will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Briar Woods is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
