The Gowanda Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by Randolph 68-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gowanda has scored all season.
Randolph got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Quinn Pence out in front who scored 24 points along with eight assists and eight steals. Pence has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Skylar Herington, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds.
Gowanda's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.7 points per game. As for Randolph, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.
Gowanda does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Randolph, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Frewsburg at 7:30 p.m. Randolph is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
