  Robert Caldwell had a dynamite game for Shadow Mountain, throwing for 234 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt.  Cooper Morris was  Caldwell's top target, picking up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Shadow Mountain's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as  Dylan Hatch,  Isaac Ungor,  and  Brody Madrid picked up one apiece.
 Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Coronado's offense. They were  outmatched by Scottsdale Christian Academy on the road  and fell  56-0. Having soared to a lofty 42  points in the game before, the Dons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Shadow Mountain's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Coronado, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the  defeat, which was their seventh straight  on the road dating back to last season.
