First Baptist walked away with a 65-54 win over the Patriots on Saturday. This was payback for First Baptist, who suffered a 64-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.
First Baptist's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josh Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 19 rebounds. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last four games he's played. Levi Borner was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
First Baptist's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for St. Francis Christian, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
