The Marietta Blue Devils were the 62-61 winner over the Hillgrove Hawks when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Marietta was dealt a 70-35 loss at the hands of Hillgrove on Friday. Marietta was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.
Marietta's loss came despite strong showings from Kyann Senior and Kayla Day. Senior dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds, while Day scored 13 points along with three steals. Senior hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games.
Marietta struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Marietta are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-9. As for Hillgrove, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-14.
Marietta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hillgrove also has no future games currently scheduled.
