Baseball Recap: Holbrook Takes a Loss

Holbrook lost against Winslow back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Holbrook fell just short of Winslow by a score of 6-5. The Roadrunners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ben Eisele made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more doubles the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Niko Espitia, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Holbrook's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Winslow, they moved to 2-8-1 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holbrook will venture away from home to take on Alchesay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holbrook's pitchers better be ready for this one: Alchesay has averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Winslow, they will head out to square off against Ganado at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
