Munday (9-3) and Muenster (12-0) face off this Friday at 7:00 PM to determine whose season will come to a close. Munday has blown out its past seven opponents, so Muenster has its work cut out for it.
Munday went up against Wink last week. Munday's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 34 points in the first half. That gave them a 34 - 6 advantage at the half. The offense continued to do well in the second half, scoring 20 points. In the end, Munday steamrollered its way to an easy 54 - 12 victory.
As for Muenster, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was exactly its strategy in dealing with Iraan last week. Muenster put the hurt on Iraan with a conclusive 60 - 0 victory. With three TDs, junior Parker McGrew was a significant factor in the success. If you haven't heard of McGrew, then you haven't been paying attention since he has loomed large in Muenster's past 12 games. Junior Logan Pagel got in on the action, too, by scoring two touchdowns.
There could be some fireworks in this game: Muenster has finished with big points in its past 12 games; likewise, Munday has had high scores in its last seven.
