Addenbrooke Classical Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Riley Summers and Joseph Wingrove. Summers scored 16 points along with two steals, while Wingrove scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals. Summers continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Syrus Newton, who scored eight points.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
DSST: Cedar got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Semahje Kalanda out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matthew Stophel, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for DSST: Cedar, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-6.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy will head out on the road to face off against DSST: College View at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. DSST: College View knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Addenbrooke Classical Academy likes a good challenge. As for DSST: Cedar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against DSST: Green Valley Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
