Fort Lupton dropped down to 11-9 on Tuesday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Bennett Tigers and fell 73-21. Having soared to a lofty 63 points in the game before, the Bluedevils couldn't push the score so high this time.

Fort Lupton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Becerra, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marely Gomez, who scored four points in addition to six boards and three steals.

As for Bennett, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Bennett's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emilee Venneberg led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double with 15 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Venneberg a new career-high. Aileen Duran was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 20 points and nine steals.

Coming up, Fort Lupton will venture away from home to square off against Kennedy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bennett, they will host St. Mary's Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
