The Perry Pumas will head out on the road to  challenge  the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. Perry is coming into the  contest on  a  five-game losing streak.
 While Perry couldn't quite beat Basha on Thursday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 20-point  loss they were dealt  on Tuesday. Perry fell just short of Basha by a score of  7-5.
  Sienna Kunze made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Rachel Connors, who  went 3-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent  game  on Thursday. They put the hurt on Boulder Creek with a sharp  12-3 victory. The  win was just what Mountain Ridge needed coming off of  a  12-1 defeat in their prior  match.
  Courtney Lake was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nataleigh Orozco, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 Perry's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Mountain Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
 Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging  on Monday. Perry hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season,  having  averaged 0.8  home runs per game. However, it's not like Mountain Ridge struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 0.8. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
 Perry was able to grind out a solid  win over Mountain Ridge in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023, winning  8-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perry since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
