In what's become a running theme this season, Westwood Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pinecrest Prep 82-36 at home. Given Westwood Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Pinecrest Prep is ranked 663rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westwood Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Nadaskay, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nadaskay has scored all season. Ethan Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Coral Shores' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palmer Trinity.
Westwood Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Coral Shores, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Westwood Christian barely slipped by Coral Shores in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, winning 61-60. Will Westwood Christian repeat their success, or does Coral Shores have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
