They were outmatched by Delaware County Christian on the road and fell 84-37. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Valley Forge Military Academy in their matchups with Delaware County Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
Delaware County Christian was led to victory by Josiah Gaines and Caleb Jameson. Gaines dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Jameson scored 21 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gaines has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Beau Lyren, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Valley Forge Military Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Delaware County Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Valley Forge Military Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Church Farm at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Valley Forge Military Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 736th, while Church Farm is ranked 296th). Delaware County Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
