While losing is never fun, John Bapst Memorial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Hermon is ranked 28th).
John Bapst Memorial's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colby Haggerty, who scored ten points along with three steals. It was the first time this season that Haggerty grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Logun McMahon, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
John Bapst Memorial has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season. As for Hermon, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
