The Logansport Berries will head out on the road to square off against the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Logansport is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Logansport is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over Tipton on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Berries with their most commanding win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Gracie Risley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Bianca Cortez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Logansport was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .640. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Lafayette Jefferson unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 14-6 to Rossville.
Rilee Clifton was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ahni Harper, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Logansport's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Lafayette Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Logansport hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Lafayette Jefferson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Logansport's way against Lafayette Jefferson in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Logansport made off with a 9-3 victory. Do the Berries have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bronchos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
