Triton hasn't had much luck against Winamac recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Trojans will welcome the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Triton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Triton took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Bremen, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lions 3-2.

Drew Bingamon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Triton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 9-2 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).
Bingamon wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Max Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Winamac earned a 10-5 victory over South Central on Tuesday.
Like Triton, Winamac also got a great game from a two-way player: Cody Wheeler. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Wheeler was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last ten games.
In other batting news, Hutch Martin was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted over his last nine matchups. Another player making a difference was Xavier Adriano, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Triton pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Winamac, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Both Triton and Winamac just can't seem to miss. The Trojans have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Winamac struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Triton came up short against Winamac when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 4-0. Will the Trojans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
