For St. Bernard Prep, this counts as revenge for the 52-47 defeat Victory Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Victory Christian still got an impressive performance from Haley Hendrix, who scored 29 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals. Hendrix scored a full 53.7% of Victory Christian's points, the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kyra Keller, who scored 3 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
St. Bernard Prep pushed their record up to 1-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Victory Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Bernard Prep will challenge Meek at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Victory Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Talladega County Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
