This season hasn't been kind to The Andover Trojans, who are still winless after their eighth game. They were the victim of a rough 34-8 loss at the hands of Hutchinson on Friday. Andover was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.
Andover's defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-1 Eisenhower and 6-2 Salina Central (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 74.4% over those games). As for Hutchinson, the win was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.
Andover will head out on the road to face off against Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eisenhower presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Andover in Kansas (Eisenhower is ranked 11th, while Andover is ranked 130th). As for Hutchinson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
