Alma has gone 8-0 against Medicine Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 3:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Alma's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miley Whitney, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 15 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Whitney a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tierston Moore, who went 7 of 8 on her way to 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals.
Alma was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Medicine Valley can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game last Friday. Everything went their way against South Loup as Medicine Valley made off with a 43-20 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Raiders have posted since January 18th.
Medicine Valley's win came from a few key players Alma will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Remmi Stout, who posted 20 points along with six boards and four blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Medicine Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylie Gustafson, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals.
Alma pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Medicine Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Alma has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30 boards per game. However, it's not like Medicine Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Alma against Medicine Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 72-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alma since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
