The Christian Heritage Sentinels are on the road again on Friday and play against Prestonwood Christian North at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Christian Heritage walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Wichita Christian 62-16 on the road.
Meanwhile, Prestonwood Christian North entered their tilt with Greenville Christian with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Prestonwood Christian North took their match at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 54-0 win over Greenville Christian. 54 seems to be a good number for Prestonwood Christian North as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Hayden Wood was his usual excellent self, throwing for 122 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Branson Reeves was another key contributor, rushing for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Christian Heritage's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Prestonwood Christian North, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
Everything came up roses for Christian Heritage against Prestonwood Christian North when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 68-18 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christian Heritage since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
