The Franklin Cougars won the last time they faced the Montwood Rams, and things went their way on Friday too. Franklin enjoyed a cozy 57-40 victory over Montwood. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Franklin.
Franklin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Hall, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Martinez, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals.
Franklin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Montwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will take on Eastlake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Eastlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for Montwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pebble Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Pebble Hills is ranked 323rd, while Montwood is ranked 347th).
