After each having a week off, the Harrison Hoyas and the Carrollton Trojans will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Harrison will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Carrollton is ranked fifth).
Two weeks ago, Harrison came up short against Marietta and fell 36-28. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Harrison in their matchups with Marietta: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Harrison had strong showings from Braylan Ford, who threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.5% of his passes, and Xavier Hill c/o 25 #12, who picked up 87 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Carrollton waltzed into two weeks ago's game with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They claimed a resounding 63-7 victory over Campbell on the road. The result was nothing new for Carrollton, who have now won nine contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Carrollton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Julian Lewis out in front who threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Keshun Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Harrison has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. As for Carrollton, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
