If the Carrick Raiders were feeling good off their 57-37 takedown of the Perry Traditional Academy Commodores on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Carrick was beaten by the Dragons 79-50 on Wednesday. Carrick was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-23.
It was another big night for Logan Golle, who scored 31 points along with three steals for Taylor Allderdice. Golle hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. Maayan Kohai was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Carrick's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Taylor Allderdice, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carrick will take on the Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brashear knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully the Raiders likes a good challenge. As for Taylor Allderdice, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Westinghouse has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while the Dragons will arrive with three straight victories.
