Jalen Sutton Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Evansville Harrison got the W thanks in part to Jalen Sutton playing the best football he has all season. Sutton rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 84 yards.
The victory snapped Evansville Harrison's winning streak at ten games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-7 record. Sutton and Evansville Harrison will head out to square off against Evansville Mater Dei at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Matthew Fisher's Big Game Leads Evansville Memorial over Evansville Reitz
Matthew Fisher was instrumental in extending Evansville Memorial's winning streak to seven on Friday. Fisher did his part (and then some), throwing for 350 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground for the 'W'.
For the year, Fisher has thrown 21 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 209.4 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 6.86 passing yards per game.

A Season-Best Effort from Luke Ellspermann Leads Evansville Memorial over Evansville Reitz
Evansville Memorial was led to victory by Luke Ellspermann, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Ellspermann picked up 201 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 62 yards.
Evansville Reitz's probably not too fond of Ellspermann given he always seems to get the better of them. Ellspermann rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 76 yards and a touchdown on only six passes the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in November of 2023.

Jason Rucker Ii Dazzles in Evansville North Win
Jason Rucker Ii was a major factor in Evansville North's victory over Vincennes Lincoln on Friday. Vincennes Lincoln had no answer to Rucker Ii as he rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Rucker Ii is becoming a predictor of Evansville North's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
Evansville North's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-4. Rucker Ii and Evansville North will welcome Jasper at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Castle Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Max Mccool
Max Mccool's big game helped extend Castle's winning streak to five on Friday. Mccool was dynamite, rushing for 147 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 117 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Jasper, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mccool. When Mccool last faced the Wildcats back in September of 2023, he rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.
