The Boling Bulldogs were the 97-47 winner over the Van Vleck Leopards when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Boling took a hard 53-37 fall against Van Vleck on Tuesday. Boling has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Van Vleck found their leader in underclassman Tamauri Fields, who scored 18 points. The game was Fields' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaila Wilson, who scored ten points.
Boling's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Van Vleck, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.
Boling will head out on the road to face off against Danbury at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Danbury will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1274th, while Boling is ranked 610th). As for Van Vleck, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Bernard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Bernard is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
