It was a good run, but Oak Lawn unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 14-2 to the Lemont Lemont HS. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Spartans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Oak Lawn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teagan Kryzstof, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Kamya Feigl was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Oak Lawn's loss dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Lemont, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

Oak Lawn and Lemont are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Spartans are taking a road trip to take on York at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lemont, they will head out to face off against Yorkville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
