The Grove Christian School Falcons lost against the Williamsburg Christian Academy Eagles back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Grove Christian School was outmatched by Williamsburg Christian Academy on the road and fell 79-39. Grove Christian School has not had much luck with Williamsburg Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Grove Christian School still got an impressive performance from Jacob Garrison, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Garrison scored a full 35.9% of Grove Christian School's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Kidd, who scored 21 points.
Legend Bunch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Williamsburg Christian Academy, scoring 28 points. The game was Bunch's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Julian LaPastora was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Grove Christian School bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Williamsburg Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Grove Christian School will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against James River HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on December 8th. James River HomeSchool presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Grove Christian School in Virginia (James River HomeSchool is ranked 167th, while Grove Christian School is ranked 359th). As for Williamsburg Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against StoneBridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
