Tell City posted their closest win since April 8th on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Forest Park Rangers 3-2. The Marksmen haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Tell City's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Forest Park, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Tell City and Forest Park could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Marksmen will take on Hancock County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (208 vs. 74). Meanwhile, Forest Park (ranked 277th) will meet Boonville (ranked 87th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
