The Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans will be home for the holidays to greet the Mendocino Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rio Lindo Adventist will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Last Thursday, Rio Lindo Adventist was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-37 to Pacific Union College Prep.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kafili Thompson, who scored 12 points along with nine steals and five rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter McNunn, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Meanwhile, Mendocino narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Willits 45-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mendocino.
Rio Lindo Adventist's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Mendocino, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Things could have been worse for Rio Lindo Adventist, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-32 loss to Mendocino in their previous meeting back in February.
