The biggest upset of the week belonged to Liberty, who took down 146th ranked Dover, 15-8. Quinn Jackson threw for 71 yards and one touchdown and ran for 97 yards in the win.
The Indians extended the longest winning streak in Section 9 C-I this week by beating the Dragons, 15-8. The win marks fourth in a row for the Liberty.
Keegan West and Jerry Nasi gave O'Neill a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. West threw for 104 yards and two touchdowns, while Nasi ran for 167 yards. Teammate Gage White added to the ground attack by rushing for 122 yards.
Ryan Henry was the best wideout in the league this week as John Wilhelm's team topped Dover. Henry racked up four receptions for 57 yards. Atwoun Ackerley helped Liberty's passing attack out by catching two balls for 14 yards.
Burke Catholic's Robert Pezzullo and Mike Kelly have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pezzullo has thrown for 908 yards this season, while Kelly, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 25 catches for 562 yards. The Raiders' Nasi leads the league in rushing yards with 1271.
A big matchup in Section 9 C-I this week will be when the Eagles take on the Dragons. As it stands, Burke Catholic is in fourth, while Dover is in third.
The Indians moved up to 188 from 263 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Liberty was able to make the jump by besting the Dragons 15-8.
