Catasauqua added to the longest winning streak in Colonial this week by beating Saucon Valley, 56-34. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Northwestern Lehigh scaled the state rankings by moving to 237 from 284 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of besting Notre Dame-Green Pond 33-27.
Nick Savant was a force in the backfield as the Panthers lost to Catasauqua.
Savant provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Saucon Valley fell to Tom Falzone's team.
Ryan Hunt put up the best numbers through the air as Pen Argyl fell to Southern Lehigh. He finished with a total of 13 completions for 149 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hunt's favorite target this week was Nick Oyer, who caught 5 passes for 101 yards.
The Spartans' Travis Edmond and Jacob Delpriore have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Edmond has thrown for 569 yards this season, while Delpriore, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 18 catches for 223 yards. Savant from Matt Evancho's team leads the league in rushing with 623 yards.
A big matchup in Colonial this week will be when Southern Lehigh takes on the Crusaders. John Toman's team is in second place, while Notre Dame-Green Pond is in sixth place.
Palisades was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, the Pirates triumphed over Palmerton 39-22.
