The Wahama White Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Huntington Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Wahama barely beat Southern the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The White Falcons blew past the Tornadoes 21-4 on Monday. The White Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by eight runs or more this season.
Elissa Hoffman made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kalyn Christian, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, five RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Kate Reynolds was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Wahama kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Huntington). They put the hurt on Capital with a sharp 12-6 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Highlanders in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won six in a row.
Layla Crickard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Crickard was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Lilly Robinson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Trinity Leftwich also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Wahama has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Huntington, their record is now 4-19.
