Dexter have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They will take on Malden at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Dexter have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps state rankings on their side for this one.
Dexter took an ego-bruising loss against Kennett two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Last Friday, Dexter secured a 13-7 W over Central. Among those leading the charge for Dexter was junior Haden Hillis, who rushed for 70 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Malden, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They took a serious blow against Kennett, falling 0-49. Malden's low-scoring defeat was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the contest before.
Dexter's win lifted them to 3-4 while Malden's defeat dropped them down to 2-6. We'll see if Dexter's success rolls on or if Malden are able to steal their positive momentum.
