The Bunkie Panthers's 11-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They snuck past Washington-Marion with a 66-61 victory. Bunkie's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Washington-Marion's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of ASHSTON SAVOIE, who scored 20 points, and JA'VONTE GIMS who scored 18 points. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. MONTE FARMER was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Bunkie's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-9. As for Washington-Marion, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Bunkie and Beau Chene will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Beau Chene presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bunkie in Louisiana (Beau Chene is ranked 70th, while Bunkie is ranked 273rd).
